October Challenges!

It’s fall! One of my, if not the, favorite seasons! In reality, I like all the seasons. Fall and Spring tie due to the gorgeous weather and all the colors. Winter is amazing because of the pretty snow and crisp cold air. Summer is nice when you get to go to the shore and vacation. But the fall has Halloween and my birthday. Ok, my birthday is 3 days before the official start of fall, but I count it as fall.

On my personal blog last year (which now I don’t touch), I did an October writing challenge. I have been in the mood to do some challenges. I figured I would invite others to do so as well.

The first one is from PopSugar and was made in the year 2016. It’s called “Fall Reading Challenge.” You can find it here. I would say the only change I would make is the year. “A book that was published in 2015” would change to 2017 and “A book that was published in 1995” would change to 1997.

The second one is the October Writing Challenge. That was also made in the year 2016, but it’s the one I used last year and I really like it. It doesn’t have any specific year stated so I think it can be used for years to come! This one is a 31 day challenge. You must write everyday of October.

The third one is one that I thought of last year and did not even get close to finishing. Take a large book that you’ve been wanting to read but putting off (ie: 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami, It by Stephen King, or even the unabridged Les Miserables by Victor Hugo). Divide the total number of pages by 31. That’s how many pages you have to read a day in October.

Let me know if you’d be interested in doing any of these and we can help motivate each other!
